The Mitchell County Board of Commissioners will meet in Special Session on Friday February 24th at 8:00am in the Commissioners' Conference Room, located in the Administration Building in Bakersville.  The purpose of the meeting will be to consider the adoption of an Authorizing Resolution by the Governing Body of the Applicant; to consider the adoption of a Resolution of Support for an application to the NC Rural Center; to discuss applying for ONe NC Fund Grant; to discuss the upgrading of the Mitchell Tax Billing and Collection Systems; to hear an update andd to discuss Sanitation Trucks; to hold a public hearing on applying for funding from the NC Department of Commerce Community Development Block Grant Program for water and sewer infrastructure to serve a new business; to hold a budget workshop and any other business the Board deems necessary.
