Glen Raven Technical Fabrics has been recognized with Elite Workplace Safety Recertification. After a rigorous audit of the Burnsville facility’s worker health and safety procedures, training programs and safety record, the Occupational Safety and Health Division (OSH) of the North Carolina Department of Labor has recertified Glen Raven’s facility as a Carolina Star workplace.  The facility first earned the Star designation in 2002, and has achieved three-year recertification designations ever since. The Star program mandates that managers and employees actively participate in the effort to ensure a safe and healthy workplace. The 186 associates at the Burnsville facility annually produce millions of yards of fabric used across a broad array of markets.  Out of more than 200,000 workplaces in North Carolina, Glen Raven’s Burnsville facility is one of only 137—less than one percent—which have earned Star certification.
