Summer has become synonymous with superhero blockbusters, but there’s no need for tights and a cape to be someone’s hero. The Red Cross is asking local citizens to “Find the Hero In You” by giving blood or hosting a blood drive. By supporting the Red Cross, anyone can be a hero to a neighbor in need of lifesaving blood.  Another chance for you to be somebody's hero is coming up at the Spruce Pine Community Blood Drive Monday August 14th from 1:30pm-6:00pm at the First Baptist Church of Spruce Pine located at 125 Tappan Street.  Please call 828-713-3086 for further information or to schedule your appointment or log onto redcross.org.
