WKYK joins United Community Bank of Burnsville in a Challenge to everyone in the area to gather supplemental school supplies for Yancey County students.  United Community Bank is making an investment in our youth. You can help with "Stuff that Bus".  Just drop off any school supplies that you would like to donate. Leave them at the miniature bus in the lobby of United Community Bank in Burnsville.  That's just across from Glen Raven on 19E.  Cash donations to buy supplemental school supplies are also welcome.  On the last day, August 24th, a big school bus will be in the parking lot at United Community Bank to stuff the bus to the roof with supples, and the public is invited to an ice cream social from 1:00pm-5:00pm that day.  WKYK will be broadcasting live from United Community Bnak starting at 10:00am on Friday August 24th as we all work to "Stuff That Bus".
