The American Red Cross faces a critical need for blood donations as summer winds down and the Labor Day holiday approaches.  All blood types are needed to ensure an adequate blood supply is available.  Another opportunity to donate is at the Wal-mart Blood Drive on Sunday, September 23rd from 11:00 am – 3:30 pm at Wal-Mart in Spruce Pine.   Please log onto: redcrossblood.org to schedule your appointment.
