Mayland Community College is offering free Paving the Way classes to help students prepare for college. Each of six sessions will cover valuable information to help students “Pave the Way” to college success. Learn how to request transcripts, how to fill out applications, and how to apply for financial aid so to help pay for classes. Career counselors will be available to help you choose a major and career path. Also learn study skills, how to prepare for the college placement test, take a tour of the campus, and learn about free tutoring services. The sessions are held at Mayland’s Mitchell Campus in the Learning Lab. Sessions run from 10:00 am until 11:30 am every Wednesday starting September 5 and ending on October 10. Attend as many sessions as you like, but if all six are attended, students will receive a free flash drive. Call 828-765-1208 or 1-800-462-9526 to register.
