At least one person is dead after an accident in Madison County. It happened around 10pm last night on Highway 213 in front of the French Broad Electric Building. The highway patrol is reporting that a car turning left onto the highway from a side road was hit by another vehicle. Officials are waiting to release the identity of the victim until next of kin have been notified. Investigation of the accident continues today.
