There will be an All-Day Benefit for Rev. Clifton McCurry, who is fighting cancer, Saturday September 29th at Cherith Brook Baptist Church on Georges Fork Road.  The benefit will start at 8:00am with a yard sale.  A barbecue supper will begin at 4:00pm for a suggested donation of $7 per plate, with a reduced price for children.  The day will end with a gospel singing at 6:00pm featuring The Montgomery Family from Johnson City, TN; The Emory Family from Barnardsville, NC; the Laws Family from Burnsville, Beans Creek Baptist Church and others.  The church invites you to come join them for a full day of fun and worship while helping out a well-known preacher from Yancey County.
