The Yancey County Humane Society will present their "Haunted Howls" Saturday October 27th from 7:00pm-11:00pm at the Animal Shelter at 962 Cane River School Road. This haunted event offers a safe environment for teens and adults who want to get into the Halloween spirit by traveling through the haunted halls of the Yancey Humane Society. You will truly be in the Halloween spirit after you hear the frightening howls! Don’t fret if you are too young or just not up to going through the haunted house, there will be candy for younger trick-or-treaters, along with your parents, and refreshments for all guests. Admission is $3, plus, all proceeds benefit homeless animals in Yancey County. For more information call 682-9510.
