The Farm Service Agency County Executive Director Kim Rumfelt has announced that the deadline to apply for 2013 Non-Insured Assistance Program (NAP) coverage on alfalfa, apples, blackberries, blueberries, caneberries, grapes, grazing, hay, honey, lespedeza, peaches, pears, plums and raspberries is November 20th, 2012.  NAP provides financial assistance to producers of non-insurable crops when low yields, loss of inventory, or prevented planting occurs due to natural disasters.  The service fee is the lesser of $250 per crop or $750 per producer per administrative county.
