Six Teens injured in a Marion accident



There was a terrible accident in Marion yesterday. It started with what could be called predictable results, six teens in a car with the driver going to fast and drinking alcohol.  It happened around 3 p.m. on Nix Creek Road. The Highway Patrol said a Honda Civic traveling too fast lost control when it hit the railroad tracks and flew into a tree.  Sgt. Joel Williams said "Alcohol is a factor in the collision,” The driver, 19 year old Taylor Townsend, was treated and released at Mission Hospital and is charged with DWI and reckless driving.  Three other teens were listed in serious condition and two others in critical condition after the accident.
