Details:  A native of Mitchell County, she was the daughter of the late William and Julie Honeycutt Barnett.
      Surviving are husband, James Monroe Thompson of Spruce Pine; her daughter, Deborah Ann Woody and husband Tex of Spruce Pine; brother, Henry Barnett of Johnson City, TN; special niece, Velma Duvalt; special friends, Joyce Harding and Genevieve Odom and several nieces and nephews.
     Funeral services will be held at 6:00 pm on Sunday, December 30th, 2012 in the chapel of Henline-Hughes Funeral Home. T.J. Miller and Rocky Branch will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will  be at 1:00 pm Monday in the Beans Creek Cemetery.
