Details:  Christopher Whitson, age 29, of Henredon Plant Road in Spruce Pine, the Altapass community, died on Sunday, December 30, 2012 at the U.N.C. Memorial Hospital in Chapel Hill.
     Born in Buncombe County on November 1, 1983, he was the son of Ronnie Whitson and the late Sharon Mace Whitson.
     The funeral service for Christopher Whitson will be conducted on Thursday, January 3, 2013 at 2:00 pm at the Altapass Church of God with the Rev’s. Cameron Smith and Preacher Phil Moody officiating. Interment will follow in the McKinney Gap Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the Altapass Church of God.
