Details:  Jewell Presnell Hyatt of Newdale, passed away Sunday, December 30th.  A native of Yancey County, she was a daughter of the late John Nelson and Agnes Young Presnell, and the wife of the late Bill Young and Ralph Hyatt.  She was also preceded in death by a son:  Larry Dean Young; and, brothers and sisters:  Lena Pearl Wilson, Ruby Thomas, Jennie McCurry, and Thad, Leonard and Clarence Presnell.
     Surviving are a step daughter:  Natalie Hyatt Juame and husband, Danny, of Florida; and, 2 granddaughters:  Alyssa and Kristen.  Several nieces and nephews also survive, including special nephew:  Chuck Randolph.  Surviving are her extended church family and friends at Young’s Mountain Music, whom she dearly loved and lived life to the fullest.
     Funeral services will be held at 2PM Thursday in Newdale Presbyterian Church, of which she was a member.  Brian and Judy Weger will officiate.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.
     The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service at the church.
