Details:  Belle Buchanan Jones of Hawkins Branch Road in Spruce Pine, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 5th at Blue Ridge Regional Hospital.  A native of the Spring Creek Community in Bakersville, she was one of ten children to the late Virgil and Maggie Buchanan and the wife of Lester Jones, who passed away in 1965.  She was also preceded in death by four brothers:  Earl, Buster, Brown and Coleman Buchanan and two sisters:  Hazel Wyatt and Rachel Buchanan.
     Surviving are two sons:  James Jones and wife, Sabra, of Spruce Pine and Allen Jones and wife, Deb, of Spruce Pine; a sister, Mabel Stamey of Spruce Pine; two brothers:  Arnold Buchanan and Carl Buchanan, both of Spring Creek; three grandchildren:  Tracie Jones, Brandon Jones and Harley Rash; two great-grandchildren:  Danielle Singleton and Hunter Jones.  Several nieces and nephews also survive.  
     Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, January 7th, in the chapel of Yancey Funeral Services.  Rev. Lander Heafner will officiate.  Burial will follow at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 p.m. prior to the services at the funeral home.  
     The family would like to say thank you to the staff at The Yancey House for the wonderful care given to Mrs. Jones during her stay.
