Details: Grace Hollifield Williams died on Tuesday, January 22nd.
     Born on June 6, 1920 in Mitchell County, she was the daughter of the late Grady and Hattie Dale Hollifield. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Ed Williams who passed away in 1999. Other family members that preceded her in death were; Fred and Susie Mae Hollifield; Earl and Evelyn Hollifield; Jim and Gladys Cox; and Kenneth Brown. Mrs. Williams was a member of the Grassy Creek Baptist Church and she was retired from the Spruce Pine Community hospital with forty-five years service.
     Mrs. Grace Williams is survived by her sons; Doug Williams and wife, Judy of Archdale, NC; Danny Williams, and wife, Pam of Spruce Pine; Dr. David Williams and wife Vickie of Statesboro, GA; and Darryl Williams of Alpharetta, GA; her brother; Frank Hollifield and wife, Jackie of Kings Mountain; her sister; Mildred Brown of Hickory; ten grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.
     The funeral service for Mrs. Grace Williams will be conducted on Thursday, January 24, 2013 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Webb Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Spruce Pine Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday afternoon from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at the funeral home.
