The seminar portion of Riddlefest 2013 this year is called "This Mountain Life in Story and Song" and will be held Saturday February 16th from 1:30pm-4:00pm at the Burnsville Town Center.  This seminar will explore the use of story and song in southern Appalachia to transmit family values and community history. Session leaders are Michael Reno Harrell on creating and telling a family story and Laura Boosinger on ballads,  It's free and open to the public, produced by Traditional Voices Group with funding from NC Humanities Council.
