According to the N.C. Department of Transportation, most roads in Buncombe are clear.  Interstate 40 in Haywood County and I-26 in Madison County are also listed as clear for travel.  According to DOT some of the secondary roads in Cherokee, Clay, Graham, Swain, Jackson, Macon, Transylvania, Madison, Yancey, Mitchell and Avery counties are slick with snow and ice. The Yancey County School System is planning to have Saturday School This Saturday February 9th.
