Details: Jamie Williams Johnson of Fox Den Lane, the Grassy Creek community, died on Monday, February 4th at Blue Ridge Regional Hospital in Spruce Pine.
     Born on June 13, 1923 in McDowell County, she was the daughter of the late John and Gracie Williams. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-six years, Lee Edward Roy Fox. She was also preceded in death by her daughters; Norma Faye Fox Johnson, Ila Gaynelle Fox Pitman, and Diana Fox Grindstaff.
     Mrs. Johnson was a member of the Grassy Creek Baptist Church.
     Mrs. Jamie F. Johnson is survived by her husband, James Donald Johnson of Spruce Pine; her daughter; Shelia Fox Chandler of Williamsburg, VA; and eleven grandchildren.
     The funeral services for Jamie Johnson will be conducted on Thursday, February 7, 2013 at 2:00 pm at the Grassy Creek Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the Grassy Creek Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Thursday afternoon from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at the church.
