The Yancey Humane Society's Annual St. Patrick's Day Dinner and Silent Auction will be held Friday March 15th at the Burnsville Town Center.  Seating will be from 5:30pm-7:30pm with take-outs available from 5:00pm-6:00pm.  The menu will consist of corned beef and cabbage, potatoes and carrots, baked apples, rolls, dessert and beverage...all cooked up by Chef Michael of Clear Creek Ranch and Chef Teo from Mtc. Mitchell Golf Course Restaurant.  Tickets are $15 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under and are available at Jill's Hairport, Yancey Graphics, Ye Ole Country Store, Burnsville Wine & ..., Something Special Gift Shop, the Animal Shelter, Burnsville Health & Nutrution, The Burnsville Town Center...and, of course, at the door.  For more info call 6852-9510.
