A water main break on the Town of Spruce Pine Water System last Thursday prompted the Division of Water Resources to issue a System Pressure Advisory for customers in the affected area which is located near the united Methodist Church on Hwy. 226 South at the top of Burleson Hill. All water customers south of the break into the Grassy Creek area and on Greenwood Road were advised to boil all water used for human consumption.  The advisory was officially cancelled Saturday morning at 8am. All tests were completed and the water was designated as safe for human consumption.
