Details:  He was a son of the late Isaac and Edna Ruth Duncan Grindstaff and a native of Mitchell County, NC. He was retired from Hampshire Hosiery and was a Veteran of The United States Navy. He attended Grace Baptist Church.
     Survivors include his daughters; Sherri Greene, of Bakersville, NC and Angela Brown, of Old Fort, NC, three grandchildren; Candice Greene, Andrea Greene, and Travis Brown, one great grandchild, Tyler Ollis.
     He was preceded in death by his wife Virgie Belle Grindstaff, one son Harvey Randall Grindstaff, and a brother Gerald Grindstaff.
     Funeral services will be held Monday, March 18, 2013 at 2:30PM in the chapel of Henline – Hughes Funeral Home with Ronnie Gouge and Jimmy Arrowood officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00PM until the service time. Interment will follow at Cane Creek Cemetery with the North Carolina Honor Guard providing military funeral honors.
