Details: Don B. Pendley of McDowell County died Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at his residence in Nebo.
Born on June 25, 1951 in Mitchell County, he was the son of the late Donald Pendley and Gloria Beam McKinney. He was a member of the St. Lucien Catholic Church in Spruce Pine. Don loved watching football and had many years of service with the local Kiwanis and Jaycees clubs.
Mr. Pendley is survived by his son; Josh Pendley and wife, Andrea of New York, New York, his mother; Gloria McKinney, sisters; Sherry Bartlett and husband Jerry, of Ledger, Sheila Speight and husband Lonnie, of Morganton and Susan Burleson and husband Danny, of Spruce Pine, ex-wife; Darlene Pendley, of Marion; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Holy Mass will be offered for Mr. Don Pendley on Friday, March 22, 2013 at 9:00am at St. Lucien Catholic Church with Fr. Christopher Gober officiating. Interment will follow in the Pendley Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening March 21, 2013 from 6:00 pm until 7:30 pm at Webb Funeral Home.
