Details: Darlene Carbonneau of the Bowditch Community, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 15th with her family by her side. A native of Lake County, FL, she was a daughter of the late Ted Barrett and Velma Kenney Barrett of Daytona Beach, FL. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Cheryl Johnston. Darlene was a member of Halls Chapel Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister who loved to cook, read and play games.
Surviving is her loving husband of 43 years, Harold Carbonneau; daughter, Kristi Carbonneau of the home; son, Jay Carbonneau of Cape May, NJ; 4 grandchildren: Zachary, Jillian, Joey and Jacob Carbonneau; 3 sisters: Gwynne Dietz of Port Orange, FL, Pat Wolfe and husband, David, of Vineland, NJ and Jani Leary and husband, Ed, of Port Orange, FL; sister-in-law, Joanne Blakeslee and husband, John, of the Bowditch Community; 2 brothers-in-law: Joseph Carbonneau and wife, Barbara, of The Villages, FL and Robert Mitchell and wife, Kay, of Elmer, NJ. Many nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, August 18th in Halls Chapel Baptist Church. Rev. Holt Whitson, Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in the Halls Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 until 3 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
