Lady Cougars Top Mitchell in Three

The Lady Cougar volleyball squad squared off against Mitchell on September 12th  at home taking the win in three sets by scores of 25-20, 25-13, and 25-13. Leaders against the Lady Mountaineers were: Nyssa Freeman with 25 digs, Alex Boone with 12 kills and 14 digs, Kendyl Neill with 10 kills and Emily Robinson who contributed 32 assists.
Heritage fell to North Buncombe on September 14 at MHHS by scores of 25-17, 25-22, 25-13, 25-19. as  Emily Robinson had 22 assists, Alex Boone had 13 kills, 27 digs, and 2 blocks, Chelsea Blevins and Courtney Thomas  contributed 19 digs each, Christina Ray had  7 kills and 2 blocks, Nyssa Freeman finished with 43 digs and Sydney Alexander had 3 blocks.
The Lady Cougars currently stand at 5-5 overall with only one conference loss, to Hendersonville..
