Details: Dimple Dillinger of Lower Browns Creek went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 29th at Carolinas Medical Center in Concord. A native of Yancey County, she was a daughter of the late Willard and Alice Wilson Woody, and the wife of James Dillinger, who died in 1977. She was also preceded in death by a sister: Ethel Carroll; and, a brother: Jack Woody. Dimple was an active member of Liberty Chapel Free Will Baptist Church. She loved her family and put the needs of others before her own.
Surviving are a son: Tim Dillinger and wife, Amber, and granddaughter Madison Dillinger all of Kannapolis; and a sister: Hazel Fox of Burnsville. Many nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 8 PM Wednesday in the Chapel of Holcombe Brothers Funeral Home. Revs. Scottie Jenkins and Randy Randolph will officiate. A graveside service will be held at 11AM Thursday in the Robinson Cemetery on Halls Chapel Road.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8PM Wednesday, prior the service at the funeral home.
