Details: Troy Gaston Huskins of Darryl Drive in Burnsville died on Thursday, October 3rd at Blue Ridge Regional Hospital in Spruce Pine.
He was born on December 25, 1928 in McDowell County. He was the son of the late E.W. and Dollie Washburn Huskins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Shirley Sparks Huskins who passed away in 1978 and by a son, Tommy Van Huskins who passed away in 1991. He was also preceded in death by his brothers; Charles, Gordon, Will, and Arthur Huskins and by his sisters; Gladys Buchanan and Jean Fitzgerald. He was a member of the Liberty Hill Baptist Church.
Troy Huskins leaves behind his wife; Faye Booth Huskins of Burnsville; his son; Jerry Huskins and wife, Edna of Spruce Pine; his daughter-in-law; Sheila Huskins of Burnsville; his stepsons; Jack, Tony, Billy and John Booth; his grandson; Nicholas Huskins of Burnsville; his step-grandsons; Luke Stamey, Lucas Stamey, and Gary Allen Lee; his great granddaughter; Kennedy Huskins; his step-great grandson; Grayson Stamey; and his brother; Homer Lee Huskins of Salisbury, NC
The funeral services for Troy Huskins will be conducted on Saturday, October 5, 2013 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Webb Funeral Home with the Rev. Ricky Ray officiating. Interment will follow in the Liberty Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday afternoon from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm in the funeral home chapel.
