The Yancey County Public Library is participating in Mayland Community College’s Adult Education/GED® program Partner-in Education and Employment Program.
The College appreciates the dedication and professional partnership developed between the Yancey County Public Library and Mayland. Each community partner assists Mayland in sharing the word regarding GED® changes and supports Mayland students and the mission of the College.
From now until the last day of testing on the Mitchell Campus on December 17, students can schedule to take the GED® exam at any time, seven days a week.
Every student who finishes his or her GED® before the end of 2013 will receive a ticket from his or her GED® examiner for a FREE all-you-can-eat buffet from Spruce Pine Western Sizzlin, a gift certificate for a free hair cut in Mayland’s Cosmetology Program, and will be entered to win a $50 gift card from Wal-Mart.
For more information on GED® test changes or to get started on earning your GED® call 828-766-1208.
