Burnsville’s Town Council accepted the resignation of County Attorney Todd Bailey after meeting with the new mayor and then appointed Heather Hockaday to handle the town’s legal business. She will be paid $750 per month retainer. The planning board also is looking for a new member. The volunteer members of the commission prepare and adopt plans for the town’s growth. Also the council decided that it probably will not cut the trees in front of Town Hall as discussed, opting for some pruning instead. In other business, the council announced that it is looking to lift the moratorium on tattoo parlors when it gets an updated ordinance.
