Town Council Public Hearing

The Burnsville Town Council will hold a public hearing on Thursday, February 6th at 6:00 p.m. in the Board Room of the second floor of the Town Hall in Burnsville .One issue is an ordinance establishing a Design Review. The other hearing is to consider amendments to the Zoning Ordinance of the Town of Burnsville. Proposed amendments to the zoning ordinance include new design standards for multi-family and commercial uses in the Town’s commercial zoning districts, new administrative procedures for implementing design standards, and tattoo parlors subject to certain conditions in commercial districts. The design standards to be considered include items such as building height, materials, arrangement, and alignment, as well as site conditions such as parking, lighting, and landscaping. The procedural amendments to be considered include new provisions for granting conditional uses in commercial zoning districts and the establishment of a new C-3 commercial zoning district along portions of Main Street. Additional proposed changes include technical clarifications to ordinance definitions and other administrative provisions. A draft of the proposed zoning ordinance amendments is available for review in the office of the Town Clerk. The public is invited to attend and be heard.
