Mitchell County Sheriff’s Deputies arrest two individuals from Mitchell County and one individual from Avery County for selling drugs. Betty Thompson Webb, age 47, of 64 Daisy Avenue, Spruce Pine, N.C., faces several felony charges for selling marijuana.
Sandra Ann Little, age 39, of 12217 US19E, South, Spruce Pine, (Avery County) N.C., faces several felony charges for selling marijuana.Cody Sebastian Miller, age 22, of 711 Pond Road, Spruce Pine, N.C., faces several felony charges for selling Morphine pills.
Captain R.V. Wiseman advised these three individuals arrests are the result of a long term investigation. The Sheriff’s Offices started this investigation several months ago after receiving complaints on these individuals for selling controlled substances. Captain Wiseman utilized an undercover operative and purchased controlled substance from these subjects.
Captain Wiseman, Lt. J.A. Biddix, and Deputy S.E. Davis began Thursday morning looking for these individuals. By early evening two individuals had been picked up and processed. Lt. Biddix and Deputy Davis went to Miller’s residence and they were told Miller was in Johnson City. Later in the evening Miller turned himself in to Sheriff’s Deputies.
Webb is charged with sell and delivery of Schedule VI after selling the undercover operative an ounce of marijuana from her residence. She is also charged with possession with the intent to sell and deliver Schedule VI and drug paraphernalia. Webb is being held in jail on a $25,000.00 secured bond. Webb made her first court appearance in front of Chief District Court Alexander Lyerly and given an April 17, 2014 court date.
Little is charged with sell and delivery of Schedule VI after selling the undercover operative two ounces of marijuana. She is also charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver Schedule VI, maintaining a vehicle for selling and storing controlled substance, and drug paraphernalia. Little is being held in jail on a $25,000.00 secured bond. She is schedule to appear in Mitchell County Court on April 17, 2014.
Miller is charged with sell and delivery of Schedule II (Morphine pills) to an undercover operative at his residence. He is also charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver Schedule II and drug paraphernalia. He is being held in jail on a $25,000.00 secured bond. He is schedule to appear in court on April 17, 2104.
Captain Wiseman advised this investigation is still ongoing and there will be numerous arrests coming in the near future.
