Details: Terry Tremaine Geouge of Burnsville, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, April 14th.
A native of Mitchell County, he was a son of Angela Geouge of Burnsville and Dickie and Sandy Burleson of Spruce Pine. He was also preceded in death by paternal grandparents: Dick and Helen Burleson; aunt, Vickie Burleson Rumfelt and cousin, Jeremy Rumfelt. Terry loved to play the guitar, draw and write poetry but most of all he loved spending time with his daughter.
Surviving in addition to his parents are his daughter, Nevaeh Geouge of Micaville; sister, Sabrina Burleson of the home; brother, Trenten Geouge and wife, Tammy, of Bakersville; maternal grandparents: Douglas and Ellen Geouge of Green Mountain; aunts: Audrey Cannon and husband, Stacey, of Micaville and Tina Burleson and husband, Greg Boston, of Spruce Pine; uncles: Jim Rumfelt of Spruce Pine, Chris Geouge of Micaville and Kevin Geouge of Green Mountain; nieces: Ashley and Erica of Bakersville; great-niece, Ava; cousin, John Cannon of Athens, GA and his special dog, Taz.
Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday, April 18th in the Chapel of Yancey Funeral Services. Rev. Billy Mitchell and Rev. Matt Wilson will officiate. The family will receive friends from 5:30 until 7 prior to the funeral service at the funeral home. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday in the Morning Star Baptist Church Cemetery. At all other times the family will be at the home of Jennie Pitman at 57 Baccus Siding Road on Double Island.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the funeral home to offset funeral expenses.
