Details: Cynthia Curtis of Harris Street died on Saturday, April 26th at her home.
Born on February 1, 1938 in Lewiston, Maine, she was the daughter of the late Harold F. and Marion Judkins Hill. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husbands, Rube Webb and Phil Curtis. She was also preceded in death by her brother; Granville Hill and son-in-law; Lewis Benfield.
Cynthia was a member of the Roaring Creek Missionary Baptist Church and was retired from Hampshire Hosiery. She loved family get togethers and cooking. She enjoyed working and helping others, quilting and studying genealogy.
The family respectfully requests the honor of your presence at the funeral service honoring the life of Cynthia Curtis at 11:00 am on Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at the Roaring Creek Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev’s. Chris Hughes, Stephen Duncan, and Jonathan England officiating. A time to receive friends and share memories and support the family will be held from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at Webb Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Lower Hughes Cemetery.
Cynthia Curtis leaves behind her daughters; Doreen England and husband, Dale of Burnsville; Debbie Benfield of Newland; and Audrey Daniel and husband, Tony of Old Fort; her sons; Charles Webb, Jr. and wife, Susan of Crossnore and Justin Webb of Plumtree; her sisters; Marilyn Bailey of Bakersville; Rosetta Milliken of Windham, Maine and Lennie Burke of Brunswick, Maine; ten grandchildren; and thirteen great grandchildren.
