Daulton Buchanan Signs With Berea College 5-12-14
Mountain Heritage senior outfielder Daulton Buchanan last week signed a letter of intent to play baseball at Berea College in Kentucky. Buchanan, pictured above with his brother Brandon ft, left, mother Misty, son Kason and father Travis as well as MHHS Athletic Director Joey Robinson, back left, and Cougar Baseball Coach Doug Willis. Buchanan had three doubles and one homerun while batting .377 this season in helping the Cougars to a 2A state playoff appearance. In 61 at bats this season, Brandon's slugging percentage was .475 and he also contributed 9 stolen bases, 6 RBI's and 17 runs in helping the Cougars to a 10-10 record. Coach Willis said of his student-athlete, \"I feel Daulton is one of the best outfielders in the conference. He has a great work ethic and a real love for the game and should do well at the next level
