Summer Funshine Day Camp



Summer Funshine Day Camp will be held Monday June 16th through Wednesday June 18th from 9:00am-3:00pm and Thursday June 19th from 3:00pm-10:00pm at the Toe River Campground, Patience Park, in Yancey County.  Summer Funshine Day Camp is designed to provide recreational and educational opportunities for persons of all ages with developmental disabilities.  The theme this year is "The Wild, Wild West".  Camp activities include swimming, tubing, river walk, trout fishing, water balloons, volleyball, balloon race, Wild Wild West County Fair, bingo and singing.  Special features are: talent show, carnival games, Ronald McDonald, Magician, hay rides, antique cars and trucks, Sons of Confederate Veterans, and a clown troupe.  The closing celebration will have a barbecue dinner, motorcycle-car cruise in, special music, candlelight ceremony, roasting marshmallows and makins s'mores.  For more information call Lucy Wilson at 385-0211.
