Tractor Boys Heritage Club To Host FFA Tractor Show

Tractor Boys (and Girls) Heritage Club is a new, informal club of avid tractor enthusiasts from Yancey and Mitchell Counties.  Club founder, Roger Huskins had the idea to start the club as a way of serving the community while preserving its heritage.  Huskins says, “There are many people in our area that share our love of tractors and still have farming ‘in their blood.’ ”
This club has participated in two “toy rides” to help local children and two “joy rides” just for fun, and now the Tractor Boys (and Girls) are ready to launch their very first tractor show – the Mountain Heritage FFA Tractor Show.  This show will feature antique tractors, lawn tractors, and engines – and even some antique cars and trucks!  The show will also include exhibits and demonstrations, a tractor parade, yard sale, door prizes and more!
The best part of the entire event is that admission is free to both exhibitors and spectators!  The club will be accepting donations, with all proceeds going to the Mountain Heritage FFA Club.
The Mountain Heritage FFA Tractor Show will be held at Mountain Heritage High School on July 19, 2014, from 8:00am – 4:00pm.
