Details: Martha Ingram Fisher, age 82, of Hightop Lane, the Three Mile Community of Avery County, North Carolina died Sunday, June 15th at the Brain Center Health & Rehabiliation of Spruce Pine.
     Born on June 8, 1932 in Avery County, she was the daughter of the late Gilroy and Hallie Benfield Ingram.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers; Max, Ben, and Bill Ingram and her sisters; Mary Lee Stout and Jean Waddell.
     She was a retired beautician and had worked at Brad Ragan, Inc. in Spruce Pine.
     Martha was a charter member of the Bethel Missionary Baptist Church and served as the church secretary for many years.  She loved the Lord and her church family.
     She was dearly loved by everyone that knew her and an inspiration to all.  Martha enjoyed caring for her family and friends.
     Left to cherish her memories are her husband; Phillip Fisher, her sons; Charles Wise and wife, Marlene of Radcliff, KY, John Wise and wife, Sharon of Crossnore, Ted Wise and wife, Vicky of Spruce Pine, and Kenneth Fisher and wife, Patty of Linville Falls; her sister; Mildred Pritchard of Morganton; four grandchildren; and her extended family.
     The family respectfully requests the honor of your presence at the funeral service honoring the life of Mrs. Martha Fisher at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at the Bethel Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev.Darrin Waldroup and the Rev. Luther Carver will officiate.  Interment will follow in the Bethel Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.  A time to receive friends and share memories and support the family will be from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at the Bethel Missionary Baptist Church.
     The family would like to extend a special ‘Thank You’ to the staff of the Brian Center Health & Rehabilitation for their wonderful care of Martha during her stay there and also to Ellen and Alexis Ledford for their care and concern during Martha’s illness.
     Flowers will be accepted and appreciated.
