On Monday evening, June 8th, at it’s regular monthly meeting, the Mitchell County Board of Education, along with a considerable crowd in attendance, took a few moments apart from conducting business and were treated to performances by three exceptionally talented eighth grade students from Harris Middle School. The performance began with HMS 8th grade student Anna Zheng playing a classical selection on the violin. This was followed by Kenny Dale and Jacob Carroll performing a couple of rousing bluegrass gospel selections on the fiddle and banjo respectively.
