Mayland Community College Phlebotomy students recently completed 130 hours of class and lab hours as well as 80 clinical hours. The Phlebotomy curriculum includes developing communication skills when working with patients, selection of venipuncture sites, care of blood specimens, record keeping and equipment maintenance. Students are able to sit for an ASPT Exam in which they can earn a national certification.
