NCDOT Wants input on New Criteria

A ruling requiring the NC DOT to consider input when ranking community transportation needs around the state has spurred a series of public meetings across Western North Carolina. State officials want mountain residents’ opinions to help determine the criteria that will influence which transportation projects will be funded in the area. The comment period for Division 13, which includes Mitchell, Yancey, Madison, McDowell and Buncombe Counties, will be held from July 15th through August 14 while the public meeting is set for 4 p.m. July 15th at the Marion Community Building.
