A traffic enforcement stop by the Yancey County Sheriff Department on the evening of December 6th resulted in the arrest of Ronald Wince Riddle Jr, age 39 of Burnsville and the confiscation of a felony amount of Methamphetamine, Subutext, and Drug Paraphernalia. Riddle was observed operating his vehicle in an unsafe manner in the Cane River community when the stop was initiated by Sheriff Banks. Ronald Wince Riddle Jr is charged with Felony Possession of a Schedule II (Methamphetamine) Controlled Substance; Misdemeanor Simple Possession Schedule III (Subutex) Controlled Substance; Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia; and 2 Counts for McDowell County Failure To Appear On Misdemeanors. Riddle remains in the Yancey County Detention Center today under a $20,500.00 bond awaiting his first Court appearance in Yancey County District Court on December 19th, 2018.
