Marcia Young, 62, of Burnsville, passed away Monday, December 31, 2018, at Care Partners Solace Center in Asheville. A native of Yancey County, she was a daughter of Monita Roland of Beaufort, SC and the late James Young. She was a graduate of Mars Hill College.
Surviving, in addition to her mother, are 2 daughters: Angie Shehan of Burnsville and Kelly Hoyle and husband, Jody, of Spruce Pine; a sister: Sharon DiPasquale of Beaufort, SC; grandchildren: Colby and Gracee Pittman, Paige Jobe, and Cambria and Bailey Gresser; and 2 nieces.
Funeral services will be held at 7 PM Thursday in the Chapel of Holcombe Brothers Funeral Home, A graveside service will be held at 11AM Tuesday, January 8, 2019, in Gus Young Cemetery on Arbuckle Road.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the funeral home to help with expenses.
