Patricia Mary Stefanick, 92, of Burnsville, passed away Saturday, January 19, 2019, at the Yancey House.
She was born in Miami, Florida, the daughter of the late Edmund and Matilda Moltzan Purcell. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 48 years: Andy Stefanick.
Patricia had been a resident of Burnsville for the past 38 years. She was a former volunteer for Hospice and involved with the inception of the Yancey County Humane Society. Patricia was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
She is survived by her children: Patty McIntosh and husband, David, of Burnsville, Andrew Stefanick and wife, Jeannie, of Miami, and Mary MacNamee and husband, Ken, of Delray Beach, FL; grandchildren: Bryan McIntosh and wife, Rachel, Andrew Stefanick IV and wife, Crista, Evan McIntosh and wife, Courtney, Michael Stefanick, Caitlen MacNamee and husband, Erik Beuckelaers, and Kyle MacNamee; and great grandchildren: Gabriel Plitt and Caleb and Addison McIntosh.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11AM Saturday, January 26, 2019, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Father Fred Werth will officiate. A private family burial will be in the Holcombe Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
