Mitchell County Animal Rescue Hires New Executive Director

Mitchell County Animal Rescue has announced that their recent search for a new Executive Director has culminated in the hiring of Pamela Coté for that position. Pam has been working as the Development Director at Mitchell County Animal Rescue  for the past several months, and brings both a wealth of fundraising experience and a demonstrated long-time dedication to the care and well-being of shelter animals.

Pam takes over from Patricia Beam who retired in early January after over twenty years of working with the Shelter.   Pam’s vision for the future of the organization includes community outreach, educational programs on the humane treatment of animals, expanded fundraising opportunities, and working with local law enforcement to find the most effective ways to continue advocating against animal cruelty.  Pam and her husband are residents of Bakersville.
