Deputy Steven McPeters of the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged Roy Holmes Hendley III, 39, address listed as Beaman Road in Marion, with possession of methamphetamine and carrying a concealed weapon. While patrolling on U.S. 70 East at 11 p.m. on Monday, April 1, McPeters stopped a motorcycle on Beaman Road for not having a tag. A subsequent search of the driver, identified as Hendley, and his belongings turned up a handgun and a small amount of methamphetamine.
