On Wednesday, July 24th at 1 pm at the front door of the Yancey County Courthouse eleven parcels of Yancey County land will be put up for auction. Buyers must deposit five percent of their bid at that time. The deposit will be held until county commissioners either accept or reject the bid. The deposit will be forfeited if the highest bidder fails to close the sale. The property is all sold “as is” and “where is” and is subject to any and all exceptions.
