The Humans, the fifth production in the Parkway Playhouse mainstage season, will open on Saturday, August 24th, at 7:30pm. Winner of the 2016 Tony Award for Best Play, The Humans by Stephen Karam features direction by Henry Williamson III, and stars Jeff Bachar, Alesa Bryant, Mathew Edwardsen, Kristen Livengood, Paula O’Brien, and Josephine Thomas. A finalist for the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, The Humans is a dark comedy that will leave audiences laughing and crying for the entire evening.

Breaking with tradition, Erik Blake has brought his Pennsylvania family to celebrate Thanksgiving at his daughter’s apartment in lower Manhattan. As darkness falls outside the ramshackle pre-war duplex, eerie things start to go bump in the night and the heart and horrors of the Blake clan are exposed.

Performances will be held on August 24th, 30th, 31st, September 6th and 7th at 7:30pm. There will be matinee performances on August 25th and September 1st at 3pm.
