The Weaverville Police Department is reporting that the Walmart Store in Weaverville was evacuated Tuesday night (8/13/19) after a bomb threat.
Police Officers responded to the store around 7 pm. Police and bomb-detecting dogs searched the store and then lifted the lockdown several hours later.
Buncombe County Sheriff’s Department, the Asheville Police Department, Woodfin Police Department and Weaverville Fire Department all assisted with the investigation.
