Congressman Mark Meadows will visit the new Blue Ridge Elementary School in Yancey County this afternoon at 3pm. Blue Ridge Elementary is located on Cane River School Road near Cane River Middle School and will open for students for the first time, along with all other Yancey County Schools on Monday.
Congressman Meadows will also visit the Cane River Park around 4pm to see plans for FEMA funds that will be used for flood protection and also an upcoming project that will provide lighting for the sports facility.
