Bomb Threat Tuesday at Madison Middle School

Students from two Madison County schools were moved Tuesday morning, October 14 to the Madison County Sheriff’s office due to a “safety concern.” According to reports,  the students were moved after a bomb threat was found written on a wall in the Madison  Middle School’s  girl’s bathroom. Authorities acted to move the students from both Madison Middle School and the Brush Creek Elementary School , which is located on the same campus. Law enforcement conducted a safety sweep of the middle school even though they did not believe there was any credible safety issue. Parents were notified around 10 am that they could pick their children up at the Sheriff’s Department. Bringing students to the Sheriff’s Department is a part of the safety plan, which they practiced two weeks ago. Madison Superintendent Dr. Will Hoffman said it was better to be safe than sorry. There is an ongoing investigation.
